Kaippallikuzhi Sree Bhagavathy Temple is a sacred place blessed by the divine presence of Sree Bhagavathy and Sree Mahavishnu, with a spiritual legacy that has been cherished across generations. The early worship and rituals of the temple were led by Sri Krishnan V., a deeply devoted and spiritually disciplined worshipper. Renouncing worldly comforts, he lived a life marked by simplicity, devotion, and selfless dedication. He devoted himself completely to the worship of the deities and the affairs of the temple. His unwavering faith and spiritual commitment laid the foundation for the temple’s early traditions and devotional heritage. He is respectfully remembered as the Founder of Kaippallikuzhi Sree Bhagavathy Temple.
Over the years, there came a period when the temple’s activities gradually declined. It was during this crucial phase that Sri Krishnan P. took a decisive role in reviving and restoring the temple. As the Former Trustee, he spearheaded the restoration efforts with the support and cooperation of devotees and the local community. In order to re-establish the temple’s spiritual traditions and divine presence, a Deva Prashnam was conducted. This was followed by the re-consecration of Sree Bhagavathy, Sree Mahavishnu, and the other subsidiary deities, in accordance with prescribed Tantric rituals and traditional temple procedures.
The re-consecration ceremonies and associated Tantric rituals were conducted under the guidance and priestly leadership of Brahmasree Shankaranarayanan Vishnu Namboothiri of Rameswaram Sree Sankara Math. The ceremonies were performed with strict adherence to the temple’s traditional customs and Tantric principles, marking a significant milestone in the history of the temple’s restoration.
Through such sincere efforts, dedication, and collective devotion, the temple once again emerged as a vibrant spiritual centre of faith and worship. Today, Kaippallikuzhi Sree Bhagavathy Temple continues to preserve and carry forward a sacred legacy shaped by the spiritual vision of its Founder, Sri Krishnan V., the restoration efforts of its Former Trustee, Sri Krishnan P., and the Tantric traditions upheld through the guidance and rituals of the temple’s Thantri, Brahmasree Shankaranarayanan Vishnu Namboothiri.

The 16th Pratishta Anniversary Mahotsavam and Ashtabandha Kalasham were celebrated with great devotion at Kaippallikuzhi Sree Bhagavathy Temple from June 20 to 24, 2026 (Mithunam 6 to 10, 1201 in the Malayalam calendar). The celebrations began with the ceremonial lighting of the Bhadradeepam by renowned food and lifestyle vlogger Al Foodie Sooraj. The rituals and ceremonies were conducted under the guidance and priestly leadership of the temple Thantri, Brahmasree Shankaranarayanan Vishnu Namboothiri of Rameswaram Sree Sankara Math. Temple office-bearers, including President Ramachandran Nair, Trustee Prabhakaran, and Secretary Suresh Babu, along with other dignitaries, were present at the occasion.
According to local tradition, this area was once covered by a dense forest. The place was believed to have been blessed by the presence of Adi Parashakti and later became a sacred centre through the divine presence of Sree Mahavishnu and Sree Bhagavathy. In the early days, a devotee named Sri Krishnan V. dedicated himself to the temple through selfless worship and service. Following his passing, the temple remained unattended for a period of time. Later, based on the findings of a Deva Prashnam, the local community came together to restore the temple and carry out its re-consecration.
Today, the temple stands as an important spiritual sanctuary for numerous devotees. The temple is home to several deities, including Mahaganapathy, Bhadrakali, Sree Ayyappan, and various serpent deities. According to the temple authorities, there are currently 11 distinct consecrated deities within the temple, all of which form an integral part of the faith, traditions, and daily religious practices of the local community.
